Sudan: Medical group says five killed in anti-coup protests
According to the Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors, there were five people killed during pro-democracy protests on Saturday and many more were wounded . The mass anti-coup protests are caused by people discontent about situation after the coup when the military had seized power. Previous authoritarian president Omar al-Bashir has been overthrown by military but after huge protest they were forced to share it with civilians hence the power is held by Sovereign Council. However both groups cannot still get along. Military leaders in new-forming government have demanded reforms from civilian counterparts and called for the cabinet to be replaced.
