Different ideologies and ideas - fascism

Fascism is a political doctrine based on autocratic governance aimed at creating a totalitarian state where the citizen is completely subordinated to the states interests. Fascism is based on militarism and nationalism. This doctrine was against the idea of parliamentary democracy. It also rejected Marxism and liberalism. It was focused on corporatism nad statist model of the economy. Main goal was the strong, absolute state, which has full control over all aspects of social and economic life. In this system propaganda played an important role. Everything has to be subordinated to the interest of the state. Today fascism is considered as far-right wing doctrine, although the fascist themselves said they were neither left nor right wing. Fascism arose in Italy in veterans unions after World War I. In 1922 after the "March on Rome" the power has been taken by the fascist leader - Benito Mussolini who put Italy on the course of imperialistic politics. Initially Fascism was portrayed as an anti-communism, civic movement and because of that gained popularity and was even supported by Catholic Church. In 1931, Pope Pius XI officially condemned this ideology. This ideology has survived to this day and there are even political parties around the world with fascism as a main doctrine.
