Sudan: Medical group says five killed in anti-coup protests

According to the Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors, there were five people killed during pro-democracy protests on Saturday and many more were wounded . The mass anti-coup protests are caused by people discontent about situation after the coup when the military had seized power.                                                            Previous authoritarian president Omar al-Bashir has been overthrown by military but after huge protest they were forced to share it with civilians hence the power is held by Sovereign Council. However both groups cannot still get along. Military leaders in new-forming government have demanded reforms from civilian counterparts and called for the cabinet to be replaced. This was dismissed as power grab by civilian leaders. There have been several ot...
The fuss bus      Last week, propably Tuesday i woke up later than usual so I had to rush to avoid missing first lesson. I am not terribly far from school but to make it I have to get up at least 2 hours before the first lessons. On Tuesday as usual I came to the bus station 5 minutes earlier because my bus is always late or comes to early than it is written on the schedule. To my surprise, no bus arrived in about 40 minutes despite the fact that according to the schedule, at least two buses should have come. I am used to it that they are always late or too early but never happened to me that I had been waiting more than 40 minutes for a bus in a central part of Warsaw(!). Finally when it arrived I thought it is the end of troubles this morning but unfortunately for me it wasn’t. At some point at the bus stop the driver came out behind the steering wheel just to shout and curse at the man who had his mask tucked over the chin. It was very strange because there we...

Observation

Last Tuesday after school, my friend and I were giving out grilled sausages next to the courts  on AWF. We know each other well with the owner of courts so he asked us to help him this day because he had some other stuff to do.                                                                                      So, when we started handing out things from grill, we observed an interesting phenomenon. We got the command to invite all people passing by tennis courts for a FREE sausage however, this information wasn’t mentioned anywhere. So we had no consumer in the first two hours despite of so many people entering and leaving tennis courts at that time. They’d been even looking at our stall but nobody has bothered to ask for a price. At that point I came up with idea to so...

Biden: This will be 'decisive decade' for tackling climate change

This week I’ve read an article about climate changes. More precisely the text was about the US president statement, which had told a major summit about the decisive decade for facing climate change.                Joe Biden is a president known of his radical statement about climate change top United States has declared to set a goal for itself to cut carbon emissions by about 50% till the 2029 ends. Some people could find it very surprising and even incredible because they doubled the target form the previous summit of 40 global leaders. Opposite to the US, other biggest CO2 emitters like China and India didn’t make any new obligations. The question is will all these commitments really make a difference.                                               ...

French authorities warned people and they  are calling for a massive departure from Pakistan by French citizens. The reason of the  statement are anti French protests. The protest intensif...

US and allies announce sanctions against Chinese officials for 'serious human rights abuses' against Uyghurs

This week I’ve an read article which was about newest sanctions that US announced against few Chinese state officials. The article was made by Nicole Gaouette and James Frater and can be found on CNN. The whole fuss is about the human rights violations by Chinese against Uyghur Muslims who live in Xinjiang region. Their situation is very dramatic. According to reports they are locked up in camps, subjected to torture and sterilization. American Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that PRC (People’s Republic of China) is still comitting the crimes against humanity. The US constantly renew their calls to Chinese to end repression of the Uyghur Muslims and other ethnic minorities. The threat of sanctions came after a confrontation between the state secretary and Chinese officials. Antony Blinken also indicated that in the future will be talen   more radical steps with other countries on sanctions.      In my opinion China had always problems with resp...

Armenia PM Nikol Pashinyan accuses army of attempted coup

This week I’ve read an article about situation in Armenia after the short military conflict with Azerbaijan. The whole situation is related to the loss of Karabakh – a mountain region belonging to Azerbaijan but controlled by Armenians since truce in 1994.                        Last year due to conflict Armenia had lost this region for the Azeris. Shortly after the end of the conflict Armenian Prime Minister had dismissed a few commanders from military staff and sacked armed deputy chief Tiran Khachary. The loss of enclave and these decisions seriously angered Amrenian military management, which accuses the government of ineffective foreign policy. Armenian Prime Minister – Nikol Pashinyan also accused main military staff for attempted   coup against government.   Pashinyan gathered with thousands of his supporters in the capital city – Yerevan. He made a statement that the army isn’t...
